smashed….a process
by kelly

my girl in graphite ready to blanket the spray and stencil.

a schmear of lipstick.

the layering of colors brings a smile.

she begins to shine.

sprinkled purple daisies.

almost there.

smashed.

blossoming.

finally smashed.
she is done!
i am taking her and 7 other pieces to terre haute today
for a show at the The Passion Window Gallery,
upstairs over Crossroads Cafe at 7th & Wabash.
i finally get to meet vickey the owner and yvette
from modern charm. i have some new
product to fill her shelves up again too.
i have this quirky habit in the studio. i
tend to paint backgrounds, lots of them
then when i have something big coming
up, i tend to pull one out the week of and
finished up one more piece. not sure
why. just do. i think it is that last minute
rush of adrenaline and seeing something
fresh right before i have to pack it up and
move it out.
if you are a local or short drive from the
city…..please stop by the gallery to check
out all the goodness.
a big thanks to vickey and yvette for
being so supportive and welcoming.
peace.

Once again we are channeling – this time it is the color purple. I have made 2 new purple pieces and incorporated purple into a couple others…so bizarre.
