hello. day.

“from my point of view, which is that of a storyteller, i see your life already
artful, waiting, just waiting and ready for you to make it art.” toni morrison

too many days happen where i tend to allow to much crud in to my little head. but then i see the words of toni morrison (i dig her) and the sky opens up and sprinkles us all with some much needed h20. doesn’t that just make you happy as a clam. go grab onto some color. even if it is someone else’s and take a ride. feel your belly leap as the bottom drops and hold on. because seriously, we make this game way to stiff, way too beige.

go on….go grab that box of crayons and get busy.

just over here adding my color. see you soon.

.    .    .    .    .

need some inspiration, well i have some to share. join me over here.

color .. yes. I need color. this is what has been missing. I need to clean the kitchen. Instead, I just want to make paper stars for my ceiling. I think I need to just make the stars. It’s the only bit of color I have right now.

I often allow ‘too much crud’ into my head too, and am practicing changing those habits. And speaking of ‘grabbing someone else’s color’, Justin Vining just put some georgous giclee prints on canvas up in his Etsy shop which I’m totally coveting. While I ponder that, you’ve inspired me to bring out some of the art that’s been in storage since I moved a year ago and start figuring out where to hang it. I might hang some twinkle lights too:)

mj! twinkle lights rule! (i highly suggest, as you know.) i find the more i add to this practice, the easier it becomes and the quicker i move through that crud! xoxo
